My new cable came last night. You know, the one to connect the iPod to the tv so I can watch older Legend of the Seeker episodes in large size. (They aren't HD, but I can wait for the DVDs... or an HDMI cable.)
So, I hooked up the iPod, turned on the tv, selected the right source. And... nada. I didn't even bother fooling around with it. (Besides, I'd pulled my back out this weekend-again [second weekend in a row]-and I was pretty sore.) So I just sat on the sofa and read Wizard's First Rule. (Even though 24 was on, I don't watch it until the next day. Just can't stand all that excitement first hand, I guess.)
Then at some point last night, I realized I hadn't set the video settings on the iPod to "tv out." So this morning I tried it out. It worked! At least the video portion worked. I'm not sure what's going on with the audio. I don't think I hooked the connections wrong, but didn't really have time to thoroughly check it out. I might check tonight, but it's not essential. There's plenty of dead tv time later in the week to mess with it. And maybe by then my back will feel better.
Speaking of back, I think i may have to forego a new iPod for a new computer chair.
