I'm sure my Supernatural friends (which is everyone on my very meager flist) will roll their eyes, but what can I say? Until Supernatural wows me with another episode of "Lazarus Rising" or "Monster Movie" magnitude, I will be fan-girling about Legend of the Seeker.
nuj (who gets notified whenever I upload a new icon) is probably going "wtf?" (And no, the high cheek-boned, seriously eyelashed dude in my icon is not Jensen Ackles.)
Before I became addicted obsessed enthralled by the series, I deleted the earlier episodes from my DVR. But now I want to rewatch those episodes to see the growth of the Kahlan-Richard connection. And since I have no patience to wait for the DVD set, I subscribed to the series via iTunes.
I then went in search of some way to watch the shows on my tv. You can't make DVDs from iTunes (bummer!) but I found you can hook your iPod to your tv with the right cables (sold by Apple). So I bought the cable, it came yesterday, I hooked it up, and .... nothing. :(
Yes, I hooked the red, green and blue video component connections correctly, as well as the audio connections. (I used to be an audiologist. Red is always right. Red-right-round.) I connected them securely. I connected the iPod to the dock. I plugged in the USB adapter and connected that (to power the iPod, because video really zaps the battery). I set my iPod's video settings to "tv out." I tuned my tv to the component connection port. I start to run the episode. And I get "No signal detected." :(
I'm not sure where to go from here. Guess I'll go research my iPod and my tv to see what's wrong.
Oh
zanne68 , I'm about half-way through Wizard's First Rule. I'll write about it some other time.
