Last night I worked at Rollhaven. Usually Tuesday night is my favorite night to work, but it was slow and I really really REALLY need a raise. Not only that, I deserve it. I've been there for close to 5 years. I need some incentive to stay there. I'm supposed to be manager by now, but for whatever reason none of us are getting trained.

Hey, you could be making my pay, theres only a few people that make as much as me and it's still less than everybody else.

Well, being that you are under 18 they are paying what is expected of them. I'm beyond 18 and I have seniority over most of the current employees, I should be paid more.

Yeah, but I still have things to pay too. It's not like just because I'm 17 I don't need money because I'm moving out in 8 months.
A lot of places pay their workers the normal min. wage for 18 if they're 17, like DQ, but I don't feel like working with a pervert that only hires girls.

Seeing as how I have seniority over some of the current employees too and I am beyond the 18 year old age restriction I feel I deserve a raise too. Yet here I am making minimum wage with one job that gives me crappy hours, while somebody complains about their pay when they have two jobs. So stop whining when there are people that have it worse than you. Yes, I realize people have it worse than me too, but this is me we're talking about here.

A. Both my jobs give me crappy hours.
B. I have way more bills than you.
C. I'm not whining to you, I'm ranting about it in MY live journal, because it's something that effects me. I am not saying that no one else deserves a raise too, I'm merely stating that I deserve a raise. Because I do.
