But it'd have to be R-Rated~

I'm twelve years old and what is this...

If you've even come in contact with me, you'd know there are two series that reduce me from low-power level fan to 110% weeaboo: Nabari being one, and Kuroshitsuji being the other. And, Unlike Nabari, (sob), my fangirlism with Kuroshitsuji has rewarded me with a large, healthy fanbase, delicious merch, a second season AND OVAs. Even a game for the DS. Seriously. That said, with Kuro's newfound fame and recognition, fandom has had it's drawbacks. First off being a glut of underage girls scrambling about, terrifyingly bad cosplay paired with screaming and glomping, and zillions of terrible OCs on Deviantart. The question has come up if Kuroshitsuji's been completely reduced to fangirl fodder, but I disagree. While yes, it's stronger than before, and certainly a bit more rampant, is it so terrible to ENJOY that? And, there's still enough meat in the overall series to chew over. IDK.

That said, I've never had more fun in a fandom. The 40% or so of Kuroshitsuji fans that are intelligent are really excellent people, brilliant fic writers, and among them, very talented fanartists. It's been a really fun ride so far and the fandom's been particularly a blast over the last six months or so.

Now. I'm always kinda iffy about musicals. The last Kuromyu was only sort of okay to me. I didn't care for the songs as much, and I was kinda meh about the whole thing.

This second one though. Man oh man.

First of all, I'm pretty much okay with ANYTHING that gives me THIS in any remotely canonical setting:

Awww, yeah.

I've made it no secret that Ciel and Sebastian aren't my top pairing of Kuro- But, like a belligerent Shota fungus, Ciel has wormed his way into my heart and grown there.

It helps that Ciel's actor in the musical was an absolutely adorable fourteen-year-old.

Who decides Sebastian needs a new hat.

And is so cute that even William T. Spears and Ronald Knox kick and flail in delight. (They're shouting KAWAIIII here)

Still, I couldn't get behind Sebastian as a character a hundred percent. He seemed too perfect and too... I don't know. He just seemed overrated. That is, until Chapter 49 with Sebastian trolling basically...everyone. Including Ciel and the whole house and all the guests and just being extremely endearing.

And then, Yuya. The way he plays him is so absolutely charming and dark and wicked all at once. You know you should hate him, he's cruel and suave and ffff.

LOOK AT THIS MAGNIFICENT BASTARD. YOU KNOW HE'S GRINNING AT CIEL LIKE "AWWWW YEAH I'M GONNA EAT YOU UP WITH BARBECUE SAUCE AND FRIES." THAT SMARMY SMILE, CONDESCENDING AND KLDSFMDKLSFNLSNF IT'S PERFECT SLDKFNLKSFDN GDITSEBASTIAN.

THEN HE GOES AND DOES THIS:

AAHHHH WHY IS MY FANDOM GOOD TO ME

And then he goes and does this.
(Since it's not in motion, basically he's hopping on one foot and curling his hands into paws with a "Nyao!" like a cat.)

And then he can carry Ciel with ONE ARM (look close) ...and proceeds to toss him to his adoring fans.

And offers his young master to use him as a chair.

Ciel: *flop*
My thoughts exactly, Ciel.

More or less, I've had the musical soundtrack and the video running for.. like ever. Even though I can't speak Japanese, their company, and what I can pick out, makes me smile and keeps me sane. Thanks, Kuromyu cast! And thanks, Kuro fandom. No matter what fangirls do to you, I'll always love you!

Sebastian, give everyone a hug for me.

Alright, I'm outie!

XOXO

P.S.
