It's been long enough, so, now, a post-NYC art dump!
Drawn in the MoMA; The eyes were based partially on
these sketches by Lee Bontecou. I don't think they were meant do be eyes- she does these neat sculptures that emerge from canvases, and those were the sketched plans for them. Still, they were haunting, and I really liked them.
Looked at waaaay too much "Madonna and Child"-esque art. Not that I mind.
My theme for my Art History Paper was the "Memento Mori", and I was trying to explain what I meant to my classmates, so I drew this. Also, I am a terrifying creeper.
HERP A DERP. Someone saw this and said, "Ew, they look like toothpicks!" Yuuup, that's the idea.
A bit of shenanigans going on with Seung-mun's arm. I drew this after I read Madam Xanadu. The art in that was so beautiful; I love how they drew faces. I was drawing after, and, magically, here's Seung-mun. She tends to be my randomly-appearing muse.
After a kinda soul-crushing critique, I was determined to draw, so I sat in the front row at a Little Night Music and drew the actors and actresses. Teehee.
I all sorts of don't like this face. Catherine Zeta Jones is definitely prettier than this. That said, I did like her fabric.
A little creepy girl I was doodling. I dunno. She was cute. So sue me, I love stripey stockings.
At the request of
arks, Lady Gaga in a Kevlar Ballgown. I'll redraw this later. She has a sniper-scope as a halo, kinda like the Dior/Galliano Winter Couture '05 collection, and the Givenchy (I think?) collection a while back. Her headdress is made of dismantled and tangled guns, and bullet clips wrap around her waist and calves.
A bit of Sailor Moon doodling. The bigger drawing is a sketch for one of my AA prints of the three Serenity princesses/queens/etc brushing hair and tying odango.
I had to do a four page story- much less complicated than an 8 page story- but I wanted to be a bit more in-depth for it, so here's The Bluebird.
Yaaay, with that, my NYC stuff is doneee. Hooray hooray.
Now I can work on my AA things without guilt! :D Tomorrow I reward myself with taking a bubbly Princess Bubble Bath, and painting my nails and toes with my new lavender OPI polish. It's one of the Shrek colors, I was told. LOL. I just picked it up because it was a pretty color. ROFL.
Night kidlets!
XOXOXO
