Remember how King County voters decided less than three months ago that the King County Elections Director's post would be non-partisan?
Well, Tuesday's the deadline to mail in the vote to decide who is actually going to be the next King County Elections Director, and I hope those people know who they're voting for. Specifically, are they going to be able to tell apart the cuckoos and the stooges from the good candidate(s)? Hint: there are three cuckoos and two stooges in this race.
I'm going to vote for Sherril Huff, the newly-appointed director. She's too new to the post to trigger my anti-incumbency radar, and frankly, she did quite a lot better at handling the last election, which was huge, than her predecessor did in 2004. I'm definitely not giving the time of day to the two stooges, Pam Roach and David Irons, sent here by their Republican overlords to play funny business with our elections process. Especially not Roach, who's received BIAW money. I'm also not in the mood to experiment with unknowns Anderson, Clifford, or Kempf, two of whom are under investigation, and the third being an ex-banker.
