Snow and light
The Bellevue Botanical Gardens, in order to attract more visitors in the winter months, hosts an event called Garden d'Lights in December. Normally the gardens are open only during the daylight hours, but for the duration of this event they are fantastically decorated with whimsical lighting displays and remain open well into the night.
Last month, the snowstorms that afflicted us forced the gardens to close for about a week. To make up for that, the event was extended through last weekend, and AH and I were able to show up. The following pictures were taken during the week when the gardens were closed, and displayed on the Bellevue Botanical Garden Society website:
