VERY VERY LATE THIRD ROTATION XO

Oct 09, 2006 19:19

ACK! ME SO SORRY. I just..forgot..to update. O_O *cries* I didnt realize how long ago it was, and then i got distracted by something shiney...*sigh* damn those shiney things. damn them to hell.

So I made a theme for this rotation, plus some extra songs too! :D The theme is real Emotion; meaning songs that the artist sings with so much emotion, it makes you want to cry. ;.; I added some other ones in there too! I hope its enough for everyone! m(__)m

1. Koda Kumi - 1000 no Kotoba (Original Mix)
Genre: ballad
Language: japanese
Comments: This is the original full version of the popular song '1000 Words' from Final Fantasy X2. A very pretty song. Ku definatly shows some great strong vocals here. :)
Format: mp3
Rateing: 5.5 /10

2. Koda Kumi - Rain (Unplugged Version)
Genre: ballad
Language: japanese
Comments: Omg so pretty!! I chose the unplugged version over the original version becauses slower, and sounds rawer and more heartfelt. She even sounds like shes about to cry at some points. ;.; awww, dont cry Ku-chan! *hugs*
Format: mp3
Rateing: 6.5/10

3. Amuro Namie - Wishing On The Same Star
Genre: ballad!
Language: japanese
Comments: This song was used as the theme song for the movie 'Inochi'. I have no idea what its about or anything. >.>;; This is the full version though, so horray! Its a kinda sad song. It makes you think that even though youre not with people that arent near you anymore, youll still be wishing on the same star and looking at the same moon. :)
Format: mp3
Rateing: 7/10

4. Utada Hikaru - Final Distance
Genre: ballad
Language: japanese
Comments: This song is so sad sounding! Its a remake of the song Distance. Hikki remade this song after finding out a girl that got murdered in her school was one of her big fans. Personally, i like it better the the Distance. Lots of beautiful piano and violins abound in this song. It makes me cry everytime i listen to it~ ;.; Hikarus voice is, as always, powerful and moving in this ballad. The PV is pretty and other-worldly also!
Format: mp3
Rateing: 8/10

5. Evanescence - Solitude
Genre: rock ballad
Language: english
Comments: This song always gets me depressed. Its about unrequieted love, of course its going to be depressing. D: Amy sings this song as if her heart is bleeding, its very haunting. I was going to put a song from Evs new album, The Open Door, but i thought this song would fit more.
Format: mp3
Rateing: 6.5/10

6. Ayumi Hamasaki - Because Of You
Genre: pop rock
Language: japanese
Comments: A fun change from Ayus usual poppy lineup. I wish she would do more rockish songs, i think her voice is perfect for them! She sounds like shes desperatly trying to unfold the secrets of love, hehe. Its one of my favorite Ayu songs too~
Format: mp3
Rateing: 6/10

7. Ayumi Hamasaki - M
Genre: ballad
Language: japanese
Comments: *_* This song is so shiney. Her voice really really shines here. I totally cry all the time when i listen to this. Its so pretty! at first, it just sounds like another soft ballad, but noooo it doesnt stay like that. it gets a little poprockish, but not too much, towards the end. You must download this song.
Format: mp3
Rateing: 10/10

8. Akira Sudou - Waiting For You
Genre: anime
Language: japanese
Comments: This is the ending theme song for Bubblegum Crisis 2040. Once upon a time, Umi had a penpal, and she had made her a burned cd for her birthday, and this was the first track on it. Quite possibly the first jpop song i had really heard. :) Very nice song to mellow out to, espically on a rainy day, imo.
Format: mp3
Rateing: 5.5/10

9. HEAVENS WiRE - Lights at dawn -Web Edit-
Genre: techno/trance
Language: japanese
Comments: This song is AMAZING. Its got GREAT beats and it feels like the music just rushes all over you. Its the best song to just turn out the lights and just wave a little glow stick around to. XD; Even though theres minimal singing in the song, its still powerful. Quality over quantity, they say. I wish i could find more music by them, espically the longer version of this song, but its hard. ;;
Format: mp3
Rateing: 9/10

10. Lara Fabian - The Dream Within
Genre: ballad-y
Language: english!
Comments: The ending song to Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within! I imagine someone singing this song on stage with just a spotlight on them. I think it could have more instraments in it though. Buti its nice how it is; the low key instraments play it down and make it seem more other-worldly~ The ending parts are my favorite part of this song. :)
Format: mp3
Rateing: 4.5/10

11. L'arc~en~ciel - Eien
Genre: rock
Language: japaneseu
Comments: I like the effect they put over Hydes voice in this one. Unless im just imagining it? XD Anyways, this song makes me feel like swaying back and forth, maybe alongside some hippies for effect. The melody repeats itself a lot, i belive thats it. The song is very romantic though, and it only makes everyone love him more. <3
Format: mp3
Rateing: 7/10

12. L'arc~en~ciel - Hoshizora
Genre: slow rock
Language: japanese
Comments: Oh gosh. Such a sad, sad song. ;.; its so real. It makes everyone cry, even Hyde (watch the AWAKE Tour, yo.) Such a sad, touching song~
Format: mp3
Rateing: 8/10

13. L'arc~en~ciel - Trust
Genre: roku
Language: japanesea
Comments: *_* SUPER AWESOME BASS FTW!! Tetsu wins this song. His backup vocals are perfect and complimentory.
Format: mp3
Rateing: 6/10

14. Utada Hikaru - Dareka no Negai ga Kanau Koro
Genre: ballad
Language: japanese
Comments: Does this song NEED introduction? Its very lovely. The piano is so pretty. The PV is very pretty too, its all in black and white. Hikaru sounds slightly saddened. :( As if something bad has just happened, but shes decided shes going to get over it.
Format: mp3
Rateing: 7/10

15. Utada Hikaru - Tokyo NIGHTS
Genre: poprock?
Language: japanese
Comments: Its a little bit r&bish maybe? Its got a beat and you can dance to it too. One of my favorite Hikki songs.
Format: mp3
Rateing: 7/10

16. Utada Hikaru - Uso Mitaina I Love You
Genre: poprock
Language: japanese
Comments: Also another one of my favorite Hikki songs. This one is a little more rock-ish then most of her songs. I like it, its a nice change from all the pop balladness.
Format: mp3
Rateing: 8/10

17. Yuna Ito - ENDLESS STORY
Genre: ballad
Language: japanese/english
Comments: Debut single of Yuna Ito! Shes a lovely singer. She sung this song in the NANA movie (which i have yet to see. D:) Its a very pretty song, with her sweet voice and sparkly piano. :D
Format: mp3
Rateing: 8.5/10

18. The Little Mermaid - Part of Your World
Genre: Disney
Language: english
Comments: :D I had to sneak this in here in celebration of the DVD being rereleased. Im so happy! Everyone knows this song. Its Ariel singing about how she longs to be a human, and how shes going to accomplish her goal. Very touching, of course. <3
Format: mp3
Rateing: 10/10

I hope you enjoyed the rotation! m(__)m
