The more I'm stuck here, the more interested I am in the situation. Has the food situation always been this bad? At least there's running water and heat now, but... Food is pretty important for survival.

Near as I am able to discover, the food situation is a recent development, although I'm afraid that doesn't help our situation now much. Still, I am confident we will persevere.
