..Hmm. You know, I think this reeks too much of a blackmail than an honest bill they want to push. It's just too ridiculous and damaging to throw around this bill for very long. I think they're just using as "Democrat party do as we say or we're going to vote this in.
It's absolutely hateful and disgusting to even say these things in the first place, no matter the reason.
Redefining the definition of rape is disgusting enough, but what really shakes me up about this is the fact that they don't consider women to be anything more than property.
To be completely honest, I don't very often find myself agreeing with the things you post from ontd_political, but this is absolutely freaking disgusting!
Admittedly, it isn't quite right to say they're "redefining" rape; the definition is staying the same, they're just saying "Oh, rape isn't really such a bad thing after all. Quit your complaining, and go make some more babies!"
What they're redefining is "a bad thing." If THAT'S not scary, I don't know what is! Doublethink, anyone?
