Genki ga deru live dvd thoughts
So, I finally got around to finishing this up. I ended up re-watching some of the performances since it'd been so long since I first started ^^;;
Random thoughts ahead:
On the main concert.

- the band songs were definitely different without Okura, it was odd to hear them without his drumming. there was someone else playing drums for some of the songs, but it's quieter and definitely just not the same. And it was sad to see the gap where okura would be by the drums.
- I really liked the Heavenly Psycho performance though, how it started with Hina's keyboards and Yoko's trumpet. really nice. But I'm really curious how it would have been different with Okura's drums.
- the canjani mc segment was hilarious XD XD I loved seeing their faces in the wipes during the videos of their "boyfriends" XD;; You can see both Maruko and Yokoko's faces getting a little red and Nishikiko seriously looks like she's going to die inside. I simultaneously feel sorry for Ryo-chan and die laughing at him. XD;; poor Ryo-chan. ...and Murako's prancing around the stage was also super cute. XD;
- Kawaita hana with Hina and Subaru was nice - I like piano arrangements and it's nice to see Hina play and sing
- I liked seeing them scramble around the choreography in both Natsu no Koibito (where Yoko helps Maru out since Okura's not there) and also in my store ~kanousei wo himeta otokotachi~ where basically, chaos. XD as Subaru steps in for Okura. ...there actually wasn't as much scrambling footage as I thought there was going to be, but that's alright. Oh and randomly I really really liked Maru-chan's hairstyle in Natsu no Koibito. what an excellent look for him <3
- I was a little sad that wasabi wasn't a band arrangement, but I guess that ended up being a good choice what with Okura not being there. Still, one of my favorite songs on the album, so not complaining. :D
- randomly, there's a moment in Kateni shiagare where the camera is panning away from them and Yasu is smiling and bopping to the music that is just adorable. <3
- also really liked the encore with the hot air balloons <3
thoughts on on discs 3 (I have the regular dvd version, I think these are part of what's on disc 2 on the bluray?) fangirlishness ahoy.

- ooh I'm glad they put clips of heavenly psycho on here where okura plays also.
- the christmas shots are so cute XD ...I love the group colored santa outfits!
- yay! practice footage! ...I love all practice footage <3 <3 <3
- and the footage of subaru and okura shooting the canjani boyfriends videos, while Yoko tells them what to do, and then tries not to laugh during the actual shooting. XD <333 so much love XD <3 <3 <3
- and the practice session footage for my store ~kanousei wo himeta otokotachi~ is so cute! XD <3 <3 ...and oddly, I really like Yasu's red straight bowl cut. ..who would've thought?
- I really liked the way they put together the footage for samurai song on here! The close ups of the fans and staff faces as they watch the concert really captures all the feels! ...and tugs on your heart strings.
- awww *wubbles the little maru-chan fan* and omg I recognize people I stalk on other platforms (!)

- lol. I have to wonder how many people made Polynesian uchiwas for Maru-chan for the current recital concert. ...and what the heck does a polynesian uchiwa look like anyhow? XD;; ...and someone has to make an uchiwa that tells ryo-chan to do something. XD;; ...and I totally understand why Hina doesn't do what his fans ask. lol. ...even though honestly, if I were making an uchiwa for him, I'd do the same kind of stuff. XD XD XD
- omg. maru-chan's fly was open. ...how many times has this kind of thing happened in kanjani8 XD;; ...and omg *flails* at his response to the audience member.
- Maru-chan is seriously cute when he gets nervous/embarrassed after he shows and does his "gomen na" line <3 ...I love how he turns away and tries to hide. so cute. *dies* ..and yoko totally cops out! XD ...Yasu's is nice (he's such a pro XD) ...and I love how they make Ryo-chan do it too. XD. *dies laughing*
- maru's explanations of the choreography in Natsu no Koibito (which he came up with) are both hilarious, and super interesting @.@ ...and now I have to go back and watch that again. ^^;;
- lol @ the talk around Yoko putting his hand on top of Subaru's during Candy my love
- and Maru-chan's open fly XD;;; ...yes. please let me pull the tissues out of your tissue holder. fjdsfweoiruwi ^^;;;;;; ...and OMG the talk following that. XD;; ....at least you guys know. ...we're looking XD XD XD XD
- and talk of bathing. XD;; and Yasu's butt washing. XD;; and ...XD XD XD *dies a thousand deaths*
- god, I love this group. their MCs bring such joy. XD Now they're talking about how right before Yoko does the speaking line in Natsu no Koibito and how Maru-chan usually pats/touches his butt.. but this time someone was totally fondling so he peeked over and Ryo-chan was giggling/sniggering/laughing (how do you translate nya nya?) off to the side. And Yoko's like wait a second..?! You!? Me: XD XD XD XD XD XD;;;;
- drunken Hina and karaoke stories <3 ...and drunken Maru stories <3 and calls in the middle of the night <3
- drinking speed: I have to agree with Yoko here, I want to enjoy my drinks. :) I mean, yes wanting to getting buzzed/drunk is definitely part of it, but I definitely want to drink at my own speed too XD;; ...and I have to wonder if the boys have good hangover remedies they'd recommend. XD;
- I love how maru's immediate response to having butts in front of him is to bite it XD ..vs everyone else's ..why, you'd like slap it. XD ...this whole discussing of maru's kissing and stuff is just XD;;;; ...I have no words. XD;;;
and lastly, russian wasabi ....ok, these were cute, but I could've done without the repeated playing of the intro. ^^;;
