I'm in the computer lab at UNF. I've moved all my stuff out of my dormroom and into my and Brian's new apartment. I couldn't go to sleep last night. I think I finally fell asleep at like 2:30am. And then I woke up at 7:30am.
I actually didn't tell any of my roommates that I was moving out. Specifically, because I didn't want Jeremy to know. He's such a control freak, and I figured this was something I had contol over (since I was treated basically as a guest in the dormroom... actually more like an unwanted guest). Jeremy acted like it was solely his dormroom. I can understand why Kory stayed in his office all day and only returned to see Family Guy at 11:30pm and then go to bed. I kinda feel bad that I didn't tell Kory (who I shared the loft with) that I was moving out, and I think he was a little hurt. But I really didn't want Jeremy to find out. I don't know if they knew I was moving out or not. They might have figured it out. Oh well.
So at 7:40am I started moving stuff into my car from my dormroom. Then Kory left, and at 8am I called Brian to make sure that he was awake because we wanted to be at the leasing office at 8:30am to move in. Then I moved more stuff into my car and left for the apartment at 8:25am. We gave Sivia the rest of the stuff for the apartment (electricity confirmation number, the sure deposit money, and the first month's pro-rated rent), so she gave us our keys and we hurried over to the apartment. I really like it. It has two bedrooms, one bathroom, the living room and kitchen are pretty big, and there's an awesome deck that's on the corner of the apartment with sliding glass doors to the living room and Brian's room. The only problem with it is that the master bedroom (Brian's room) is kinda small. He has a queen sized bed, and it won't fit in there with his dresser. My room is a little bigger and has a hallway that's part of it that goes to the closet spaces and bathroom.
So then Brian went to work, and I went back to my dormroom to move the rest of my stuff out. Kory ended up coming back and he offered to help me carry stuff downstairs. But I told him that I was almost done (I think I made five more trips... I should have let him help me... oh well). When I finished at 12:10pm, I still hadn't seen Jeremy and Tom (they normally sleep late). So I told Kory "bye" and went to get the RA. Then she had to go get a form from the housing office, then we went upstairs. She didn't say anything about the real Christmas tree that is not allowed in the dormrooms (due to fire hazzards) or about the candles that are "illegal" as well. Which is probably a good thing. I wouldn't want Kory and Tom to get in trouble.
I'm just so glad I don't have to live in a dormroom anymore. And I'm even happier that I don't have to see Jeremy in his nasty underwear anymore. When the RA came up to check over the room before I checked out, he was laying on the futon in his underwear. Uh. I was hoping I wouldn't have to see him again before leaving. He had been in his room sleeping. I don't know why he gets up and lies on the futon in his underwear... and we are talking about a 250 pound nasty bastard!
Yay!
No more Jeremy
No more Jeremy in his underwear
No more Sara spying on me and Brian
No more cluttered, nasty dormroom
No more piss smelling bathroom because Jeremy can't aim
No more of Jeremy's stankness coming up to the loft from the bathroom
No more strange people staying till 3:30am playing Cranium
No more loud Jeremy not shutting up so I can go to sleep
No more being nice because it's polite
No more Jeremy in his underwear (yes, I had to mention it twice)
And I'm sure I can think of a lot more things, but I'm tired from moving my stuff.
