so yea haven't updated in forever..lj just doesn't appeal to me anymore..except to keep up on stuff goin on in everyone else's lives.
so here's a quick recap since i have nothing to do at work.
hawaii was kewl...i got to learn to surf (my instructors name was mike..so not kewl but i quickly got over it), snorkled, swam in natural pool that had a water fall, saw the sunrise on the top of a volcano, went horseback riding on a ranch on a mountain, climbed some cliffs. hawaii is beautfily once u go to the touristy nature parts. the rest unfortunately is like the rest of commercialized america.
work is still sit on my ass and do nothing but get paid. ok but i really need the research experience for med school interviews!!!
and speakin of med school...mcat scores came out..i got a 28...wanted a 30. but 28 is average so i will not take the test again. we'll see in like 6 months whether this was a good idea or not. but since i have a lot of free time in work i've been workin on my application. which is good b/c after work i'm at eddie's till like 11pm so i would never work on the application at any other time. anyways....i finished the application today!!! applying to 4 fl schools..UM (school of choice, please pray i get in here), Univ of South Florida in tampa, the "others" as carolyn calls them- FSU and UF ( i will wear orange and green everyday if i go to one of these schools). 2 schools in NY...mount sinai school of medicine of new york university in NYC, and state univ of new york at buffalo school of medicine in buffalo (duh!). so yea i was kinda iffy on applying to out of state schools mainly b/c i don't want to be far away from eddie. but 4 schools in fl just didn't seem like enough schools to me. so at first i was just lookin at schools in georgia cause its the closest state. but i decided that i shouldn't base where i go to school on how far away from him it takes me and i know he'd agree with me. so NY is basically the only other place i'd want to go. so now its a waiting game of seeing who sends me the secondary application.
it feels quite nice to be done with all of this.
