Spoiler Alert! Blacky hadn't given Silver much thought at all since she left. After the little "spat" she assumed the Attract finally wore off and she wouldn't have to worry about him any more. But when she opened the door, she discovered that this might not have been the case after all. Damn it. He resembled his father too much. She hated that.
She stared down at him with clear disdain, holding a cigarette between her teeth.
Give it another week or two, then he'll be out of your hair forever.new_moon_princeNovember 20 2010, 04:40:34 UTC
Silver was far less interested in her new habit and far more interested in that look on her face. This wasn't going to be easy at all... still, he found himself tapping into his inner resolve. He wasn't going to give up on this so long as he still loved her.
"We need to talk..."
He voice sounded unnerved however his eyes would have likely betrayed him in his quiet pain and desperation, as eyes usually do.
What no she didn't want to talk. She wanted to be left alone. It was pretty evident by the way she crossed her arms and leaned on the door frame and generally blocked him from entering her domain.
I predict he will be very tsuntsun with her before eventually cavingnew_moon_princeNovember 20 2010, 05:01:38 UTC
"You know what..." he grumbled while calculating someway to bypass her. He hated being seen in a vulnerable state just as much as he hated even feeling vulnerable. He was still operating under the assumption that her absence was entirely his own fault for being an ass and then ignoring her when she was really out of it when he was still angry at her over the whole ordeal.
Being tsuntsun? NO, THAT'S CRAZY. He would never--umbreon_blackyNovember 20 2010, 16:54:42 UTC
"No, I don't." She took the tiniest of puffs from the cigarette and struggled to hold it down. She lasted three seconds before hunching over and coughing violently. ACE SMOKER.
I KNOW IT SOUNDS SO UNLIKE HIM BUT JUST HEAR ME OUT ON THISnew_moon_princeNovember 21 2010, 02:33:08 UTC
Like the sneaky little scumbag opportunist he was, he took this moment to slip right past her and into her dorm. He had never been in there before but he had at least expected a little more decor. Girls were into things like magazines and pokedolls and stuff, right? but there was hardly anything here but some books and flowers. Still, that was the least of his concerns right now, as he darted away from the door. If Blacky wanted him out she would have to drag him out.
That cough was a bit concerning, but he was determined to resolve this little fiasco before being kicked out.
"Don't act like you don't remember!" you would think he would be acting like his usual raging asshole self given his choice of words but there wasn't any anger in his voice, only frustration.
you see he broke into Lyra's dorms and read her magazines and it said girls like those dark mysterious moody types and he misread that as "girl like it when guys are jerks" so he's just gonna go with that. ok no but that would explain a lot
THAT'S NOT TRUE... THAT'S IMPOSSIBLEumbreon_blackyNovember 21 2010, 02:44:06 UTC
Ah, great. Even if she was a little taller than Silver, she was pretty sure that trying to drag him out was going to give her way more difficulty than it was even worth. She'd just hear him out and send him on his way and that would be that. If only it could be that easy...
She closed the door and disappeared into the dorm's kitchen alcove long enough to drop the offending cigarette into the sink and pour herself a glass of water. Oh, what the hell - she poured one for Silver, too. She emerged, holding the smaller glass out.
"I honestly don't. If you aren't going to clarify for me then you're just wasting time for both of us."
NOOOOOOOOO- I MEAN YEEEEEEEEEEEEEESnew_moon_princeNovember 21 2010, 04:26:04 UTC
Silver took the glass if only for the sake of not being horribly rude despite JUST invading her dorm, but didn't drink. "We got into a fight before you left..." he reminded her, despite his very apparent frustration there was still a hint of sadness behind that. Even if he was a grumpy 12 year old it didn't change the fact that he was here because life without the person you love is lonely and painful.
Re: NOOOOOOOOO- I MEAN YEEEEEEEEEEEEEESumbreon_blackyNovember 21 2010, 04:31:39 UTC
"Mmn..." What fight? She remembered some kind of disagreement about how he treated his Pokemon, but Blacky didn't see that as a huge dispute. Then again, Silver was just a kid and probably more likely to make a huge deal out of something like that. Especially since he was supposedly still in love with her. Damn it. She hoped it wasn't permanent.
"About your Pokemon, wasn't it? What more needs to be said about that? Unless you've changed your mind about me lecturing you..."
BLOWN OUT OF PROPORTION DOESN'T EVEN BEGIN TO DESCRIBE ITnew_moon_princeNovember 21 2010, 05:03:20 UTC
"I don't like lectures." he blurted defensively as a knee-jerk response. That wasn't what he really wanted to tell her, however. What he really wanted to say was that he was wrong, he knew he was wrong and he wanted help getting on the right track. Now that glass of water seemed to be that most fascinating glass of water in the entire universe. Admitting this was going to crush his ego hard even if it was necessary. "It's just..." he trailed off fidgeting a little. This really sucked and he wished there was some way around it. "I still love you. I know I need... to treat my pokemon with more love." Well, at least he got part of what he wanted to say out. Unfortunately he just felt worse instead of better
EVERYTHING IS A BIG DEAL WHEN YOU'RE 12umbreon_blackyNovember 21 2010, 17:15:42 UTC
I still love you. Even though she'd already come to the conclusion, the words stung to hear out loud. Blacky knew what it was like to be hopelessly in love with someone who didn't return the feelings. Someone who would string her along for years, only to turn around and abandon her. Even after all that... Even after Lavender Town... She would always love her original trainer, whether she wanted to admit it or not.
It broke her heart to know she was doing the same thing to Silver. Telling him the truth about his affections would probably be a harsh blow to the boy, but leading him on until it finally wore off wasn't going to do any good either. She stared into her glass, furrowing her brow.
ESPECIALLY CRUSHESnew_moon_princeNovember 22 2010, 08:09:07 UTC
There was a bit of silence before his next bought of confessions.
"I have to... train my heart first if I want to be the best trainer."
Though at the moment he sounded more sad then anything else, he still kept a good job of keeping his composure and neither imploding or exploding into this hurt and weepy little kid he really was under all of his usual aggression.
TOO BAD IT'S GONNA CRUSH... HIS HEART.umbreon_blackyNovember 22 2010, 13:50:21 UTC
Blacky understood what it was like to bottle up and deny certain emotions for extended periods of time. But it was strange to see someone so young having difficulty expressing themselves. That he was making the effort just for her... Well, she wasn't going to let this opportunity to improve the lives of her fellow Pokemon go to waste.
"...I'll be sure to help you along the way, as long as you need it." She set her glass down on the coffee table and took a seat on her futon, patting the spot next to her. "The fact that you're willing to try is already such a tremendous step. I'm proud of you."
She had the feeling those last few words were something the poor boy didn't hear enough.
HEY IF THIS WEARS OFF BEFORE SHE BREAKS UP WITH HIM THEN WHAT HE DOESN'T KNOW WON'T HURT HIMnew_moon_princeNovember 23 2010, 02:07:33 UTC
In truth he had been more surprised by her words then anything. It had been in fact, a very long time since anyone had ever claimed to be proud of him. Most people were disappointed in him for wasting his talent for pokemon by being cruel to them, he was a disappointment to his father for being too stubborn about not having friends to even be kind enough to be likable to others. The only person proud of Silver was himself. As much as he wanted to believe that he didn't need the approval or praise of anyone else, it is just one of the basic necessities of children.
Still, the fact that she was being kind to him was a sign that things were going well again, and that was a comfort in itself. He set his glass next to her's before sitting down. as if he needed any encouragement for girlfriend snuggle times. As much as he wanted to act so cool and smooth like he did at octoberfest, he was too busy feeling warm and fuzzy.
IT'LL NEVER WEAR OFF. ONCE YOU GO BLACKY YOU NEVER GO BACKYumbreon_blackyNovember 23 2010, 03:17:11 UTC
God. DAMN. As much as she wanted to hate him for his lineage, this kid was just too endearing. But he wasn't his father. She just had to remember that.
Blacky put an arm around his shoulders, absent-mindedly fussing over his hair. "So. How do you plan to go about training your heart, hm?"
This was the problem he ran into last time he tried before arriving here. Unless we're talking about attract it's not like you can just press the nice button and suddenly you love and trust your pokemon. He thought about it but as nice of an idea as it was, he just had no idea how to go about it. Finally he just shrugged.
"I don't know..." unsurprisingly now that he's basically just admitted that he needs someone that isn't himself, and that he can be wrong sometimes, admitting ignorance wasn't nearly as painful.
The cuddling certainly helped though it reminded him of when he was a little kid sitting with his mommy
