...I'm not sure what I did for all of the other day. I'm not entirely sure I want to know. Suffice to say, if I ran into anybody who was real, I wasn't in my right mind.

My throat still hurts. My eyes are sore from shedding so many tears. I feel like such a fool for falling for an illusion like that. But... I'm not so sure I can go back to Kanto ( Read more... )

It's been so long, but... I suppose it was something like watching a rapid succession of short films in one's mind? The content of which I don't really want to think about.

Interesting. So it was not a lived experience but rather one similar to a psychic projection?

Exactly. And considering the majority of us had our ages reversed at the time, I suppose it's no surprise I ended up being affected too. If it was of a psychic nature.

Ages...reversed? Physically, or was that another effect of the projections?

That one, I believe, was the result of something slipped into the food. Entirely physical, yes.

What could have such an effect? And is there any that remains for study?

I ate all of mine to extend the duration as long as possible since I didn't want to deal with all the responsibilities of being an adult. "Magic" seems to be the most likely cause for these things. While I doubt there's any of the food left from last summer, there is something that has a similar effect... A cursed hot spring at a resort just a few hours away from the city. It seems to wear off after a couple of days, however.

Magic...There cannot be any such thing.

How long have you been here again?

Several months.

Simply put, however, what is commonly called "magic" is simply what science has yet to explain.
