Uxie might just laugh until his little lungs collapsed, at this rate. It was cruel. It was horrible. It was selfish. But goodness... it was awfully delicious. Not only was Uxie dealing a solid blow to Cyrus and his irksome little ego, but he got the one thing he most craved -- knowledge. A delightfully easy look into the minds of others when they were confronted with the things they tried hardest to conceal.
Well... into most minds, anyway. Some were lucky enough to have that irksome immunity. Like the lady lying just over yonder. Perhaps he'd have to get his information in a slightly more roundabout way. So Uxie drifted over, dangling in the air above Blacky's face, hands folded behind his back and head tilted inquisitively.
At some point a Butterfree started hovering around her. That was how Blacky saw it, anyway. Light fromm non-existent sources reflected off its shimmering wings, giving off colours she hadn't been able to see since she traded bodies - and eyes - with Flint. It was beautiful. She slowly reached up with one hand, hoping some of the powder would rub off its wings and coat her with the same shining rainbow.
"Don't touch it," her trainer snapped. "You're so weak to anything, but a bug type will kill you."
He studied that hand as it approached and withdrew, a polite smile on his face. "Ah... I'm sorry. Am I bothering you, Blacky? You just looked so terribly sad... something's wrong, isn't it?"
"You can't move...? Aiya, perhaps I ought to call a doctor. Are you quite sure that your master's here, though...? There's not a soul in sight except for you and I."
Uxie let out a sigh and dropped out of the air, sitting down on her stomach.
"This master of yours sounds a little bit inconsiderate, if you don't mind my saying. What sort of heartless being just leaves a sick creature lying by themselves?"
"You're too weak to move, aren't you? I suppose all you can do is wait for help," Uxie replied matter-of-factly, drifting up into the air again. "In fact... perhaps I should go seek out the school nurse. With any luck, he'll have a potion for you."
This was just too good.

She immediately retracted her hand.

"Why... what's wrong with you, Blacky? Are you hurt? Is that why you're lying alone out here?"

"The kindest...? Aiya... either the people you know aren't very nice at all, or you're telling a very transparent white lie."
