Why am I not in bed.
I know I promised a post concerning my awesome Saturday. But I really haven't felt the urge to write much about my life. It's rather boring.
So, the important parts:
First and foremost:
Mission accomplished!
One of the few times you can say that on a US warship and not be full of shit! :D
So, in short:
♥ Went to Open Base Day
♥ Got to have a chilli cheese dog.
♥ Also bought a cheap pizza.
♥ And hot chocolate
♥ GOT TO SEE MOUNT FUJI. AFTER SEVEN LONG FUCKING MONTHS OF WAITING.
♥ The view was gorgeous and worth the wait
♥ Got to go on the USS George Washington.
Let me stop here to explain HOW AMAZING THIS WAS. So, I have a history degree. I really should have done it with a mix in political science, but I didn't really feel like it. But, yes, my thing was all about international relations and modern war. I have been aware of this boat ever since... God, well before it was finished. My dad had a big nerd crush on it because he's a millwright that would have killed to work on a project like that. And I just love big boats. I was SO upset when I found out the Kittyhawk had left Yokosuka before I arrived (and I nearly died with glee knowing the fucking Kittyhawk had been in Yokosuka) so getting to go on the USS GW was such an amazing dork moment for me. And it really is a BEAUTIFUL ship. You know, for a big floating nuclear device. ♥
♥ I have a Christmas tree
♥ My Christmas tree looks lonely.
♥ I keep putting off my cards.
♥ My paid account runs out in a few days. Christmas? *eyebrow waggle* Preeze? Merry Christmas, Happy Chronic-ah (official holiday of my old improv team :D)
♥ I have an idea for a really cool play that I'd eventually want turned into a musical. I will tell very few people about the grand plan for it, but know I very much like the idea.
