So I finally broke down and bought a Lomo LC-A+ to have fun with. My sister is now using my old Pentax for photography class and I got a bunch of silly extras for the LC-A+ to play around with. I really enjoyed doing weird stuff in the darkroom, but I don't have access to a darkroom anymore, so now I can do weird stuff with my camera :)

My computer is making me sad. Mostly, the fact that my Java is broken is making me sad. After that, the sadness comes from the fact that there are virtually NO free programs for drawing chemical structures (like ChemSketch) for Macs, and on top of that, Chime doesn't have anything for Mac people and Jmol doesn't work without Java or just doesn't work on Leopard. Then, I get sad that I don't have a nonspecific version of Windows XP to use BootCamp with so that I could use Chime or ChemSketch or watch my videos for public speaking. All of this would make my life a lot easier right about now. Then again I remember that I do have a PC, but it's about two hours away with two mostly-broken CD drives and a lot of that lovable desktop-computer bulk in a place that I won't be visiting for another few weeks at least.

Why does chemistry have to be so PC-based?

Anyway,
