I suppose it's about time I created an LJ. I mean, srsly. Randomness ensues.
Literature
I'm currently reading Before Dishonor by Peter David, which so far has been good. It's a Star Trek novel, labeled "The Next Generation," but it involves Seven of Nine and Admiral Janeway. Just because Picard and crew play a major part, doesn't mean that you can have Seven, Janeway and the Borg without calling it Voyager. The concepts and plot arc are fairly well done, but some of the dialogue could use a little work. For example, Seven using some fairly human-standard idioms and euphemisms (which, yes, could be explained because she now teaches at Starfleet Academy, but whatever, go shove it), and Janeway sounding like a bitter, angry woman. I suppose I would be too, after all she's been through.
Anyway, I'll probably post a review of it when I'm finished.

Is it too much to ask to find a good recording of Corelli's compositions that include La Follia? All you recording artists, be damned! I'll make it myself...
