Addendum to my previous entry: a minor consequence of dying is that almost all my belongings are gone - most of it wasn't valuable (although those matrices will certainly be missed), it's very frustrating to lose ten years' worth of carvings. It's a small blessing that I don't have to redo the piercings - some of those were uncomfortable the first time around.
Also, I confess it's a little unnerving to think that my body is lying somewhere in the Western Catacombs, rotting. I know it's not truly 'mine' any more, being Pattern-less, but still, a little strange all the same.
