Let's take a quick look at the events of recent weeks in this term:
Work has been boiling up to more exciting times; I think? My boss has been trying to keep my interest in the job. Now that I've learned all the essential technologies, I have to learn about the driver... In some cases it's interesting, in others it's not. He had me working on a project that would rapidly increase efficiency and automation in our team. I finished a demo on Monday and it had an excellent reception. The testers thought it was a great idea as it eliminated a lot of problems in the past. Now my boss has me playing with technology that's not officially released yet. This is cool, but he expects a report by tomorrow... And as much as I have been working with an experienced developer, it's been difficult.
That aside, I've had a lot of down time at work. Testing takes a long time with a lot of intermittent boredom intervals. So I read web comics, or study. Probably not what they pay me for, I try to do things as efficiently and correctly as I can, but I'm a co-op so they try not to lay me on too heavy.
My ex got a boyfriend! Woot! No more feeling guilty if I want to try something with someone. :P It's a good thing I guess, she doesn't have to worry about speaking English anymore with all her friends and boyfriend being fobs. I guess I'm kind of jealous, I don't understand why though. I had no interest in her when we were dating. (Though I did like her in the beginning, and my disinterest was probably caused by fear and the fact that my own friends degraded me saying I wasn't worth her.) Doesn't really matter though, now when I go to UW I can bring my female companions around her and not feel awkward. (Y)
Um. Been studying Japanese again lately to prepare. School's approaching fast and I have to be ready. And my team totally got their arses kicked at the v-ball tournament. I kind of disagree with the results for a majority of reasons: They don't use regulation height nets, the shortness allows everyone to spike easily; Most of the teams there have been practicing on these courts more often than my team mates practice on our courts; The attack line is closer for these courts, making back court spiking easier; It was reverse sixes, meaning I was put in my worst position possible for the entire game - That includes everyone else on my team; And lastly, my team was filled with crappy players! Oh well, it taught me I have to work even harder on improving my skill.
Yup, that's as much as I'll write tonight. Good night all!
Sincerely,
E.L
