I'm currently reading "The First Princess of Wales" by Karen Harper, author of "The Last Boleyn." I distinctly remembered adoring that book a few years ago, and the book looked interesting enough so I purchased it. Now that I've finished "Little Children" and begun reading this new book, I'm not sure if I am remembering the same Boleyn book as I thought I did. There are a lot of sexual references and things that I don't remember from her writing style. Of course, my taste has somewhat matured since the early high school years when I think I read this, but still. I mean, I'll always love books that detail the English court and way of life during the monarchy years, but I'm not sure I'm going to love this as much as I thought I loved her other book.
I also stopped at the library on the way home to try and check out "Prep," but it wasn't there. I wound up checking out "A Hundred Years of Solitude," "On Beauty," "The Joy Luck Club," and a new release called "Cellophane" that looks vaguely interesting. Its only allowed out for 7 days, so I'll probably try to read that tomorrow after I finish up my current book.
All in all, I'm loving the reading time I've gotten in the past few days. I miss reading during the semester; when I come home for breaks its like I'm rediscovering it all over again.
