Office Hours [Friday]

Umbrige's office smelled of maple syrup and was covered in glitter this morning. She did not look at all happy about this. And, while she was able to mostly spell the syrup off of her, she still reeked of the syrup and it was still on her clothes in certain places.

Tea was made, both the wand and quill were out, and she was just waiting.

Roy easily found his way back to the principals office, remembering where it was from when he visited Zoe. His mood hadn't been all that well the last time he came here, but it was nothing compared to what it was today.

All the years of following orders he didn't agree with were coming in handy right now as his mood didn't show and he knocked on the door.

"Come inside," Umbridge called, not looking up from her parchment and quill.

Roy quickly scanned the room, noting that Aly should have warned him for the glitter too before his look came to rest on Umbridge.

"Acting principal Umbridge I presume," he said. "I'm Sheriff Roy Mustang."

"Headmaster Umbridge, if you please," she said, nodding once. "A pleasure, Mister Mustang."

"Sheriff Mustang, if you please" Roy repeated her words and invited himself to a seat, looking very comfortable. "I'm afraid this is more of an official visit. I believe you know Special Agent Dale Cooper?"

"I don't think I do," she said, lying flat out. "Who is he?"

"He teaches Accelerated Scouting," he replied, raising a curious eyebrow but his smile stayed pleasant. "I would have thought you'd be familiar with your staff by now, but perhaps I'm being overly optimistic. You've only had... a mere three weeks to familiarise yourself with this school after all and from what I understand the teachers are quite a handful."

"Oh, dear me no," she said, waving a hand. "I only knew him as Mister Cooper, no Special Agent. Titles are so confusing now, aren't they? So, yes, I do know him."

"I see, yes," Roy nodded, continuing in a casual tone. "I've grown to used to ranks over the years."

He straightened up in his chair as he continued. "I was hoping you'd be able to shed some light on recent events. Special Agent Cooper returned to the station the other day seemingly unable to stop laughing. It was rather disturbing to the order in my station. I'm sure that you're very much on top of everything that goes on your school and might know what happened?"

"Perhaps he heard a good joke?" Umbridge suggested, tapping fingers on her cheek.

"No," Roy shook his head. "I had it confirmed that he had a charm put on him. I hope that you can understand that as Sheriff, I can not allow it for any of my men to get compromised like this."

"I have absolutely no idea where he got the notion a charm was put on him," Umbridge lied easily. "Perhaps, he got that confused with someone being charming to him?"

"Perhaps you missed the point where I told you that I had it confirmed?" Roy asked, the pleasantness falling away. "I wouldn't be here if I didn't think I have enough reason to make an arrest."

"You have no such confirmation save for the word of a giggling teacher," Umbridge retorted. "His word versus mine. Hardly enough to make an arrest."

The corner of his mouth twitched as he suppressed a smirk. "The fact that you just decided that I'm accusing you and not one of your students says enough, don't you think? Never mind the amount of rumours that have been flying around, I don't think it will take more than a couple of hours for people to line up with charges," he rose from his seat. "You'll have to come with me, miss Umbridge."

"No, dear child, no, I won't," she said and didn't move. "No one can prove anything and you know that. I believe I'm staying right here."
