Dreams

Well, it's about 6:45 in the morning and I'm awake. I just had the weirdest dream. I dreamt I was on The Amazing Race. If you're not familiar with it then click on the link: http://www.cbs.com/primetime/amazing_race6/ . Basically this is a reality show, which I have watched for years...like perhaps the last three years. In this reality show the teams of two race around the world completing various tasks on the way, and the team that wins the race get a million dollars, while at the end of each leg the last team is eliminated. I dreamt that I was running to the pit stop, or end of a leg, with my partner. Her name was Kendra (I don't know why) and she was heavy-set with a pudgy face, and looked unlike anyone I had ever met or seen, but we were very close friends. It was night time and we were running across a bridge. At the end of the bridge was a "route marker" which basically tells you where to go, but I knew that the pit stop was in a building to the right, while the route marker was on the left. There was the shape of a man near the route marker who I recognized as someone on the race. Whoever this man was I heard him yell "run!", and I told Kendra to run as fast as she could toward the building on the right. I ran to get the route marker and looked and saw Kendra, the man and another woman running toward the building. I started running as fast as I could but when I got to the building I saw four other teams sitting there on couches. Phil, the host, was also there with the pit stop mat, stepping onto which officially signals the end of the leg. After seeing the four other teams I immediately fell to the floor because I knew that we were the last team to arrive and I burst into crying. The building was a single room with puke green carpet without much padding and a bunch of couches on one side and Phil with the route marker on the other side. I got myself up and managed to step on the mat along with Kendra, and Phil told us that we were the last team to arrive and that we had been eliminated from the race. Again, I burst into crying uncontrollably. After a few minutes of that I told Phil that it was an honor to be on the show and I hugged Kendra and shook everyone else's hand. I was so sad it was unbearable. I then asked who it was that yelled "run!" at the route marker...and a ratty faced man replied it was him. I became so anger, but I woke up. My heart was beating really fast and all I could hear was the theme music for The Biggest Loser. That was at about 6:15 and I just could not get back to sleep. Anyhow, feel free to comment...perhaps some dream analysis.
