When Echizen walks out onto Court no.2, the grass is soft and slightly damp from the rainstorm earlier that day, which broke out too suddenly for the court to be covered up in time to avoid the water. The rain has stopped falling now, although from the looks of it, the reprieve might not last longer than an hour.

I'm soooo glad that you liked your birthday fic!!! And the dialog! I tried my best to make it flow smoothly, and I'm so glad you enjoyed reading it as much as I did writing it. A testament to my talent. I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TRYING TO DO. THAT WHOLE PARAGRAPH IS MEANT TO MAKE ME BLUSH ISN'T IT. WELL IT'S WORKING. XD
God I know. I was in England, sitting in a café, and a guy came to ask if he could take one of the spare chairs, and I was like "Yes, but please tell me Nadal won Wimbledon." He told me "Nope, sorry, Federer did." I was like FUCK. He must have thought I was funny, he was laughing so much.
I can totally see Atobe being Ryoma or Tezuka's manager in the future, if he doesn't turn pro himself. In this fic they've had to interact for a long time, so I thought it would make sense for them to be relaxed around each other, as opposed to how they bicker and compete against each other in Junior High/High School fics. The fic was closer than you can imagine to being FujiRyo, I don't know how I managed to make it revert back into the pairing I had in mind.
But oh, seriously, KC, you have no idea how happy your review makes me. You say you grinned throughout the whole story - I know I definitely grinned like mad after reading your review! I did write US Open, didn't I. It should be French Open, which is one of the reasons why I shouldn't write fic at 2 am. Sorry about that XD
You are the bestest daughter EVEEEEEEER <3333 I will reply to your email as soon as I've typed what I need to send you <333 SANKYUU!!!

(haha, my grammar has gone down the tube in the month you were away)
I was not trying to make you blush, I was merely telling the truth! And actually, rereading my comment, it didn't even say half the things I wanted to mention so just know that my awe is more than what I wrote. Ironically, I can't put into words how I felt as I read the fic. That is ... rather sad, actually.
I will not say anything about Federer winning Wimbledon because he is a ... oops, I said I wouldn't say anything, right? Anyway, I'm glad you had the same reaction as I did about that game. Pfft.
Btw, welcome back! Hope you had fun! Did you buy lots of shiny, pretty things for me, your only daughter?? :D
Can't wait for your email, either! We'll talk soon!
