Apparently there are thrice as many vehicles on Bangalore roads as the accepted limit for traffic flow given the size of the roads (some arbit stat from one of the local newspapers). It's a wonder that traffic moves at all.
Read that book. You'd be surprised. It really is non-intuitive. By the way, the most innovative solutions are usually the simplest - not rocket science.
I agree. Creative jobs (such as in Advertisement firm or in running a music band) would probably need one creative intellect coming up with one creative idea. Collective intelligence wouldn't have anything to add here. But I'd categorize them into this miscellaneous section where 'intelligence' is more about creativity than solving a problem such as arriving at an optimal solution for scaling traffic.
On second thoughts, I think Jazz / Carnatic / Hindustani is a kind of Collective intelligence music. :) Each individual is only good at a specific part. Nobody 'writes' music or orchestrates. Individual has a few set of rules to follow but that's about it (ex: When the lead musician is on a chromatic scale, the pianist, bassist, etc.,. know what chords / notes they can play). However, what turns out is pretty 'classical' in form and seemingly more 'complex' music.
Driving - blind spot - what did that trip to the US do to you young man? I think it's time you got married - you're going senile and only a g1rl is going to set your head out - bloody hell..
By the way, i heard this the other day - there are 10 types of people in this world. those who think in binary and those who don't....woohoo
