That guy claims to be Google India R&D, and leaves messages to members of certain Orkut communities asking them to send in their resumes. Seems to be a head hunter.
But this is amusing. Their emails or messages or scraps or whatever are unsolicited and therefore spam. How long before these guys get shut down? I wonder if they know who runs Orkut!
Oh well. I guess all's fair. It's another just marketing/sales project anyway. And it is bloody tough finding good people.
And that profile leads me to explore the Google jobs page and I find something else that amuses me: their list of job titles have "Java Engineer" and "Software Engineer" as two different items.
And in case you're wondering why I find this amusing, it's because how an entire technology and a standard can be clubbed together as "Java"; and everything else as "C++"!
