Titile: The Way Things Are
Genre: Romance
Pairing:Hosu
Rating:Pg
Summary:Yunho wants to confess but will other things get in the way??  (Sorry I"m not so good with summaries.)

"Do you like me?" Junsu giggled. His sudden question had stricken you with utter shock. You always expected he knew or at least had some idea about your feelings. But you never expected him to confront you about them on set, in front of a camera, and with all the other members standing two feet away with their ears twitched up in anticipation of the answer. What were you supposed to do? What did he expect you to say? "Of course Su-ah. You're like a little brother to me." What else were you supposed to say? You couldn't confess your love for him right then and there, no matter how much you wanted to. There'd be a scandal for sure. But you didn't want to say something mean or sarcastic either and end up hurting his feelings.

You said the first thing that came to your mind. At least it wasn't a complete lie. You used to feel that way about him, once upon a time. He giggled again at your response "Aw Hyung." You swear you heard something more in his voice, but you quickly pass it off as merely tricks of the mind. But when the two of you make eye contact a moment later, you know that you see something else. He's smiling on the outside but his eyes that usually twinkle like stars are scarcely dim. It makes you want to grab him, pull him into your chest and hold him until the sparkle comes back. But once again the camera prevents you from doing what you want to do.

The rest of the day had gone by so slowly that a few times you actually questioned if it would ever end. But now you were finally back at the apartment, sitting on the couch and watching TV, because for once you found yourself too tired to even play video games. Junsu had avoided you for the rest of the day at all costs, even begging the photographer to let him work with Yoochun instead of you for the partner shots, which made the ride home even more awkward. To make things worse, Junsu still seemed to be avoiding you. He didn’t even fight you and Changmin for the first shower like he usually does.

Come to think of it, where was Junsu? You hadn’t seen him since you nearly trampled over Changmin while racing to the bathroom. “Hey Yunho-ah. What are you watching?” Jaejoong’s hair was wet so you guessed he just got out of the shower. It took almost three hours for the five of you to shower after work, you didn’t even want to begin thinking about how Super Junior did it. “A repeat of Rainbow Romance.” Wow...How ironic you thought. “Oh, so how’s Junsu doing?” His tone was almost cold. It sent shivers up your spine and made the hair on the back of your neck stand up.

“Why would I know?”

“Why don’t you?"

His response was quick and sharp. There was no need to ask what he meant, you knew. There hadn’t been a need to ask your first question either so you’re not sure why you did. Normally the two of you can say anything around each other, but right now he wasn’t being your best friend, he was trying to be your hyung. He was trying to make you get off your idiotic ass and go talk to Junsu. You knew that, and you knew he was right, so why were the next words our of your mouth “I’m going to bed.”?
The next morning came too quickly. You barely slept at all thanks to the annoying questions of an all to nosey and over-protective Kim Jaejoong. God he knew the right things to say to keep your mind racing.

You slowly made your way out of bed and into the kitchen where you saw the other four sitting and eating their cold cereal. You didn’t want to see Junsu right now, especially not with Jaejoong there to prod at things. You were just about to remove yourself from the already tense atmosphere when “Yunnie-ah! Come eat breakfast with us.” That damn voice controlled you. If it asked you to jump off the Statue of Liberty, then that’s exactly what you would fucking do.

To your relief breakfast passed by without any commotion. You now found yourself in the backseat of a big black van, squished between a snoring Junsu, and a drooling Yoochun. You were on your way to a Dong Bang Shin Ki showcase. And you were silently going through the song lyrics and dance moves in your mind just like you always did before a performance. You felt something moving to the left of you. Your heart skipped a few beats as you realized it was Junsu snuggling closer to your side. He looked so beautiful. You knew it wasn’t right, but you couldn’t help it as your thoughts became corrupted with lust.

“Yunnie-ah.” The angel’s voice suddenly jerked you out of your happy place. “Are we there yet?” How long had he been awake?

“Not yet Su-ah. Almost.” You took a deep breath. “Hey Su, are you okay?”

He lifted his head which had recently come to rest on your shoulder. “Of course Yunnie-ah, why wouldn’t I be?”

You both knew the answer to his question. Why did everyone keep asking questions they already had an answer to? “No reason.” That time, your response was a complete lie, and it tasted awful.

Junsu gave a questioning look for a moment. It felt like his eyes were begging you to be the strong one that his leader was supposed to be and just admit everything so that the two of you could draw a line once and for all just for the sake of moving on, whether it be with or without each other or with some one else. But you didn’t know what to say. You just looked at him until he couldn’t bare your stare any longer. A few minutes later he was asleep again with his head on your shoulder and snoring as loud as ever.

You couldn’t stop staring at Junsu throughout the whole performance. You almost stopped dancing and moving altogether as you watched the way his body moved to the music. It was hypnotizing, and once again you found yourself drifting away to your happy place, not noticing until you suddenly realized it was your turn to sing.

Throughout the showcase your thoughts continued to race, but soon they turned from lusty thoughts to guilty ones. You couldn’t stand to think about the look that you caused in his eyes. By the end of the performance, you had managed to mess up more then all the other members combined. Damn that Junsu! He could fuck you up without even a glance. If you ever wanted to perform again without the worry of screwing up the whole show single-handedly, you’d better confess. Soon.

You surprised everyone that night at the hotel when you asked Junsu to room with you instead of Jaejoong. It caused some confusion on who the other three would room with but as the band umma, Jaejoong quickly took control of the situation. When that was solved, everyone grabbed their bags and headed to their rooms.

It was now 2:00am. Why didn’t you tell him? He had given you so many opportunities earlier but you just didn’t know how to say it. Words were never something you really excelled in. If you hadn’t been so caught up in your own thoughts, you would have heard him walking towards you before you felt him slide into your bed and under the covers with you.

“Junsu, are you okay?” You just barely manage to keep you voice from shaking.

“It’s cold.” He says simply as he pushes his forehead against your back. Silence swallows the room for only a few moments though it feels like hours.

“Su-ah.”

“Yeah?” You can tell by the whisper that before you spoke he was only an inch away from sleep.

“The other day, I told you that I loved you as a brother.” You felt him tense against your back. “It was a lie. I don’t love your like that.” You turn to face him. Suddenly finding the courage to confess everything, you begin to speak only to be cut off by a pair of lips against your own. And as quickly as it came, its gone. Now he’s looking at you with questioning eyes, not knowing if what he just did was the right thing to do. Once again you find yourself at a loss for words. So you do the first thing you think of, you kiss him back
