Today, wordcount; tomorrow, an unhappy cat

--I wrote about 1600 words today (as well as assembling a lot of notes into the Scrivener file)! Given that until today, my wordcount for the year was something like 200 words total? I'm very happy with it.

--Poor Jinksy!bear is going to the vet tomorrow night. Nothing seriously wrong (our best guess is a [minor?] UTI?), and it's possible nothing is wrong at all, but we're getting him checked out.

(He used the litter robot the other night. [It's in the hall outside our bedroom, so it was quite obvious when he left the bed and came back and minutes later the robot stirred to life.] IIRC this is the first time either cat has used the robot since they were less than a year old. Alas, we think it was because he was uncomfortable and the robot is close by [and, if he is having discomfort, is also not something he might be associating with the unpleasantness, unlike the usual litter box].)

While we're at our appointment, we plan to ask the vet and techs their opinion(s) on the safety of cat collars. [See this post for context.]
scruloose and I still haven't reached a decision, so getting input from the vet--especially since we go to a dedicated cat hospital--seems like the way to go.
