And lo, our Christmas is underway

Christmas Eve dinner with
scruloose and his parents: done. (A good time was had.)

Tomorrow morning and afternoon we're doing Christmas with my parents, and as he has for the past few years,
scruloose is going to cook Christmas dinner (which we're hoping will work out to be a late lunch rather than happening at dinnertime). For a few reasons, we both prefer the arrangement where he cooks, and my parents are fine with it, so...we all win? And then in the evening, many local friends who aren't off with family commitments will converge on Chez
prairierose for dinner (not that
scruloose and will be at all hungry ^^;) and hanging out.

And on Boxing Day my sister (and her family?) will stop by so we can exchange Christmas and Hanukkah gifts. (I don't think I've seen any of them since my sister's mom's funeral in the summer, other than my nephew coming over to watch a movie the next day. [Memo to self: have some manga ready to give him! {I get two contributor copies of all my Seven Seas volumes, and I give him the second copies of the series that seem like he'll enjoy them. Since we see each other rarely, it can add up.}])

We may not see Ginny and Kas for the duration. o_o (Although Kas swung by this afternoon and gave us delicious baked goods. *^^*)

Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah to those who celebrate either (or both)! And I think I forgot to offer Yule or solstice greetings a few days ago. >.< Belated good wishes for the season to anyone who celebrates those, or indeed, any of the other converging holidays, and a peaceful weekend to everyone.

To those for whom this is a difficult time, for whatever reason, I'm thinking of you. Be well. Do whatever you have to/can to take care of yourselves.
