There was so much sleep today! Too much, maybe?
Technically I could still do my "December talking meme" posts this month, since there're only five or six topics, but I think at this point I'm just going to do what some other people have done and formally say I'll get those written in January. La!
So first there was the "sleeping through last night's get-together" thing. Then I went to bed a little past midnight and didn't get up until sometime after 11 this morning. And then I was pretty tired after dinner tonight, so even though I'd planned all day to venture out tonight and see people, instead I napped most of the time
scruloose and
bosonator were gone. Um. Oops?
It was a very leisurely day even when I was awake. I did get some rewriting done (whew!), but other than that,
scruloose made French toast brunch (because we'd all slept so late, "brunch" was at 2 PM or so), and then we showed
bosonator the first two eps. of Jessica Jones, and then we had my favorite chicken & rice casserole-sort-of-thing for supper.
Somewhere during JJ I had the conscious realization that Jess makes Georgia Mason seem downright gregarious. Ouch.
After the guys got home,
bosonator pulled Jayne out (Jayne is our guitar, which never gets played when
bosonator's not here), discovered that Jayne was in remarkably little need of tuning despite not having been played in a year, did what tuning was required, and played/sang for a little while. *happy sighs* We miss him for all kinds of reasons, one of which is his habit of filling our home (and other people's) with music.
(The cats were mostly chill about the unfamiliar music, but some chords would catch their attention and oh, how their ears swiveled! It was adorable.)
Yesterday was sunny and disturbingly warm, as I gather it was in a lot of places; I think we had a high of something like 10°C or 12°C. So naturally, we now have a snowfall warning for tomorrow (the prediction is 15 cm or so of snow/ice pellets). Whee!
As always happens after Yuletide, my tab collection is rapidly expanding with everyone's recs. ^^; We'll see how much I actually manage to read! So much stuff sounds so good!
Hopefully we're going to finally see Star Wars this coming week (Monday? Maybe?). So far I'm not particularly spoiled for it, for which I thank you all. Just a couple/few more days...
