Two items isn't enough for me to say "mishmash post", apparently
After all these years on LJ/DW, removing icons is still a challenge for me. It's not so much "what if I want to use it again?" as "but now [however many] old posts and comments will all have my default icon!" I do wish there were a way for the sites to keep old icons stored and display them where previously used, just not accessible for new use, but I imagine the amount of server capacity/load/something would be prohibitive. Alas.
(I trimmed sixteen icons tonight. I think I'd never used a couple of them. But I was still a bit sad.)
I've started keeping an eye out for the BPAL Hallowe'en update even though I'm going to try to resist it. It's always extra hard, since a) it's my favorite BPAL thing, and b) this is the time of year when I tend to start delving into my stash again, even though that rarely lasts. (Note that Project Wear All the BPAL Weenies! didn't get very far. But maybe I should try it again...)
