Rather than try to pick and choose from my current file, here are all of the other accumulated links, which I'll mostly put under a cut. A large percentage are helpfully classified as "unsorted". La?

Via Facebook,
"Love, Life and Manga: Moyoco Anno Talks With [Publishers' Weekly]".
Via
kaberett (posting at
white_lotus),
a swordsmith forged Sokka's meteor sword from Avatar: The Last Airbender from actual meteorite, with lovely hilt details. Bonus points for the last item used to demonstrate the finished product! *g*
Cute
A photo of baby!Grant of the Mythbusters kittens, AKA my favorite cat that I've never met. (I follow the Facebook page his humans set up when they adopted him and Tory together.) I don't know what it was about the Mythbusters kittens or how they managed to be EVEN CUTER than most litters, but they really were. And oh, Grant, with his health issues and his belly spots and his OMG ADORABLE IN EVERY WAY. I love seeing pictures of him now, over a year old and clearly well loved and cared for, but LOOK AT THAT BABY.
Useful
I don't remember who linked this, but I like this guest post at Captain Awkward:

Jim Hines posted
a response to Larry Correia's victim-blaming post on rape. Hines' post, OTOH, has some research/stats links, for which I am linkblogging.

A Eurogamer editor writes frankly about coming to terms with his own sexism.
Likewise via Facebook:
"When Suits Become a Stumbling Block: A Plea to My Brothers in Christ". (Satire. Also some lovely picspam of men in suits.)
A Vanity Fair post linked all over the place:
"Why Is Orphan Black Still Fighting a War Buffy Should Have Won Over 10 Years Ago?". (Orphan Black spoilers.) I particularly liked "What emerges here is that the concept of men not liking strong women (or that the world isn’t ready for gender equality in geek properties) has to be carefully taught; it resonates with adult men in a way it doesn’t with boys. [...] if you don’t instruct boys that they don’t want to watch girls in action, they’ll want to watch girls in action."
Over on Cracked.com, we have
"5 Responses to Sexism That Just Make Everything Worse" Unsorted
I don't remember who linked this, but:
"Maintaining hope in the face of depression" (Velveteen Rabbi).
Via flist, The Book of Jubilation (
book_of_jubilation_feed) is a newish blog I'm reading, "written by Lis Coburn, a pseudonymous psychotherapist living with mental illnesses. It focuses on mental health, trauma recovery, and social justice." Three recent posts I've enjoyed are
"Kids these days get too much praise: Praise, validation, and encouragement",
"Eating My Vegetables", on being a therapist in therapy, and
this post about families and secrets and the stories that get told.
Author Marie Brennan wrote a guest post at Fantasy Book Cafe:
"5 Underused Mythological Creatures".

Via Twitter:
"Janelle Monae: Contemporary Queen of Science Fiction ". I'm not very familiar with Monae's music (and keep meaning to change that!), but found this interesting anyway. ^_^
Not only via but on Facebook:
"Birds On The Wires", a short piece of music using the placement of birds on power lines for the notes.
Via Twitter, the upcoming game "Long Live the Queen" sounds interesting.
This review's pitch includes "If the art style puts you off, how about this: Long Live The Queen is a Sansa Stark simulator." The game was included in the Steam sale, which I resisted visiting until its last night, but I did wind up visiting the site and did buy this game. [See note below.]
And via
lizcommotion, another game,
"Never Alone" (coming later this year), about which she says "It is a puzzle platformer which is not totally my thing but my partner lurvs (so I may watch her play because glorious pretties), and also more importantly, the game was made in collaboration with Alaskan Native storytellers and elders of the Iñupiat people. It is a way to ensure that their stories continue to thrive among the next generation of their tribe and also among the rest of the world. (Also, you get to play as the fox as well as the girl. <3)" [Note: I hardly ever play video games, despite the horrifying number in my Steam account, so I don't know what the odds are I'll pick this one up.]
Via Facebook,
"Scientists Studied What Psychedelics Do to the Brain, And It’s Not What You’ve Been Told". (Ugh, I hate clickbait headlines SO MUCH.)
I don't remember who linked it, but They Might Be Giants are offering
a free download of a live version of their first CD.

"30 Things Only Antisocial People Understand". (Although I'm in the camp that says "that should say 'introverted', not 'antisocial'".)
