What to watch, out of ALL THE TV?

Jan 14, 2014 15:16

I guess I needed sleep more than I thought--I had my alarm set for 10:30, but didn't successfully get up until 12:30. O_o I don't know how much of a contributing factor that was to Jinksy following me all over the house while I made tea and whatnot, but the following then turned into him circling my office once I'd settled in, leaving the office to meow at the half-open door as if it were locking him out, and coming back in to eventually snuggle down on my lap and be petted for a good fifteen minutes of non-stop rumble!purr. So that aspect was a very good start to the day.

(I keep saying the kittens are allowed in our bedroom, and they are, but in practice it's only when we're both in bed. They tend to rampage during the hours between when
scruloose goes to bed and when I do, and likewise between when
scruloose gets up and when I do. So they'd been on their own for several hours when I finally surfaced from some very bizarre dreams. :/)
Last night I finished showing season 1 of Orphan Black to
wildpear, which means in the last few months I've gotten her up to speed on two shows to be fidgety about while waiting for the next season to start (well, the last season in Warehouse 13's case. Not that I'm bitter, except that I totally am).

Since her story-processing brain came back online, I've been showing her TV that I've already seen and loved, but we're considering watching a show for the first time together. I'm going to put together a fairly comprehensive to-watch list (because I always say it's long, but there hasn't been an actual list) and see if anything on it appeals to her and isn't too long. I mean, I want to get started on The West Wing sometime soon, but I think it has too many seasons to be watched with someone other than
scruloose--it takes the two of us ages to get through shows despite living together! [see also: our glacial pace on Friday Night Lights]

But that said, I'd like to show her Elementary sometime, and try her out on Fringe, although that may be too icky for her, especially in season 1. That could result in following the highlights reel list of episodes that I've directed other people to, at least for that first season. It'll give her a feel for Olivia, at least!

(I imagine I'll post the entire list once I get it assembled, so you can all see exactly why I get overwhelmed when I try thinking about it.)
