Wow, LJ seems to be impressively borked lately. Wonder if this'll crosspost on the first try?
A trio of connected links:
--The video for "Low", a song by Bummer, just came out, and
it's almost entirely Allison Scagliotti dancing.
--If you don't want to watch the whole vid,
this still from it may possibly be the best single shot of Allison I've ever seen.
--And, okay, while I'm being a complete dork about her? After I sent my fic off to the girl last night, I randomly poked around online for a few minutes to see if there were any stills from a particular movie Allison did as a teenager (Redemption Maddie, which I actually own but haven't watched yet; I have the impression it's going to be heartbreaking and/or depressing), because I've only ever seen a handful of pics of her pre-Warehouse 13. And I came across
this one (from a TV movie she did in 2004). [ETA: The link I had there originally worked fine when I posted this, but seems to have decided to start refusing access. Dropbox to the rescue!]
If my heart weren't already set on Allison for Georgia, that picture of her at fourteen would've solidified it. (I have a very vivid mental image of Georgia as a kid and young teenager [which breaks my heart, honestly], and other than the obvious superficial discrepancies [her coloring and "normal" eyes], oh, yes, that pic is perfect.)
Unrelated links:
--Have
a picture of Alan Tudyk with a little girl cosplaying as Kaylee.
--Here's a live-blog/partial transcript of this year's
Women Who Kick Ass panel at SDCC, which featured Michelle Rodriguez, Maggie Q, Katee Sackhoff, Tatiana Maslany, and Danai Gurira. It sounds amazing.
--Infinitely less good:
this post on the Hall H experience includes a section on how that panel went over with some jackass guys in the audience. But hey, misogyny totally isn't a problem, right? *crickets* [via

--The day after
I was all sad about two of the Mythbusters Kittens not being immediately adopted, they were adopted together! And their new family has created
a Facebook page for them.
