I am, of course, shocked and appalled that LJ is having a massive security issue and not talking about it. *eyeroll* (If you don't know what's going on,
read this post.)
My question is, does it actually do any good to delete one's LJ account(s), temporarily or otherwise? I see a lot of people doing it, but if someone accidentally gets logged in as you, don't they then have the power to undelete the account and poke around if they feel like it anyway?
I'm leaving my accounts alone for now, on the theory that if the above is true and someone gets access, the deciding factor in whether they screw with my account is whether they're malicious, not whether the account is deleted or not. But if anyone has info, please let me know.
(Note for the LJ crosspost: If some random person suddenly gets access to this account, hi! I'd be much obliged if you wouldn't touch anything and would send me a message from your own account letting me know.)
