I spent a while today poking around the
DW friending meme I mentioned earlier, and was happily reminded of how many interesting people use the site (and LJ, similarly). I even added some people! Who knows, I may take this burst of bravery a bit further and add some other interesting people I've noticed on both sites but haven't added before due to shyness.
(Hello, new people. ^_^ And if anyone's interested in what I wrote for my comment in the meme, it's
here.)
I was mentioning to
coastal_spirit the other day that people often refuse to believe that I'm an introvert because I chat so freely with people (under the right circumstances), and because when I'm feeling energetic and excited I'm very bouncy. This doesn't change the fact that I'm profoundly introverted, shy, and go to one extreme or the other (nervous chatter or complete silence) when I'm feeling uncertain in person.
**********
Tonight's TV viewing consisted of last week's episode of Chuck (we've been busy repainting the kitchen, so the few things
scruloose and I are watching together have fallen by the wayside) and this week's episode of The Good Wife. My comment on the latter
mainly goes, there was nowhere near enough of Kalinda this week, but her main scene was so representative of her particular flavor of awesomeness and yet so self-contained that I was able to drag
scruloose in to show it to him. (He's never seen the show, which means he's never seen Kalinda. I may have flailed excitedly at him.) Will's reaction to her info and how she acquired it was also vastly entertaining.
I'm not surprised by the Alicia/Will kiss scene, although I was a bit surprised that she went back up to the office afterwards. Kalinda immediately piecing together what "Alicia went back for her laptop" meant was interesting (except that I tend to assume that there's absolutely no way to keep secrets from Kalinda, so in my head it hardly counts as a prospective plot point), but what I noted more was Alicia's agreement with the clients that everything changes when you become a parent (I forget the exact wording). I'm not sure whether I think she's staying in her marriage solely for her kids, but I'm unsure how much that was directed at Will...
