There's been a lot of Tori stuff crossing my radar in the last couple of days. Have now heard studio recordings for three of the songs on the new album, and have heard live versions of three more. She's confirmed that she is doing a world tour from July-Christmas, with Jon and Matt (bass and drums) but no guitar. (The economy being what it is, I doubt I can travel to see her this time, which is deeply saddening.) There's also a short (less than three minute) interview with her
here which for some reason is really striking me as a comparison to her old interviews. She's still distinctly eccentric, but these days it's much more obvious how tuned in she is to what's going on in the world and her industry.

I'm still frustratingly backlogged on my domestic shows, but the husband and I mostly caught up on BSG tonight (we have NOT SEEN the finale. Please do not comment with anything to do with the finale) and saw the new Criminal Minds. CM usually packs a good punch, but tonight their timing was dead on. I sat there twitching for a good few minutes after it was over. Also, particularly stellar acting in this episode and last week's, from actors I already think are fabulous. (Paget Brewster [Prentiss] last week and Thomas Gibson [Hotch] this time around. Wow.)

coastal_spirit mentioned in a post tonight that she's seen copies of Shinobi Life vol. 2 with the correct credits, as well as copies with the wrong ones. I'm pretty puzzled by this, since I can't imagine why it would've gone to print twice already. (Unless it's become a Bestselling Manga Title when I wasn't looking, which would be cool.)
