There's a definite problem with bookstores that let you stand around and read manga (besides the obvious one of needing to examine your merchandise to make sure some moron hasn't damaged it in advance)--you read, you want. >.< As a result, after several occasions where I stood about in Waldenbooks and peered at stuff, I succumbed to my need for a geek-fix and bought vol 1 of Mars. It's formulaic so far--hot young rebel boy and shy good girl--but interesting anyway.
Damnit, this makes far too many manga series that I've started buying. I'll have to start reading only Petshop of Horrors at the mall--it's fun and I'd like to see more, but I'm quite sure I don't have any need to own more than the two volumes I already have.
When did I start following/wanting so much shoujo?
Need job.
Also browsed vol. 1 of Hellsing, and while I don't think I'm gonna buy it, it made more sense within the first two chapters than the anime *ever* did. But the most fun I got from the anime was watching Alucard *move*.
Just saw the scans for chapter 93 of Furuba, and now I'm on edge waiting for the translation. It seems to have wandered back into the present, which is good. ^_^ Dark angsty chapter.
Lots of stuff going on at the moment, yet not much to do right now. Weird feeling. Tense. The manga fix helped, I think.
