wishes and good intentions

I wish that more LJ layouts were obvious about where to click to add entries to Memories (ok, most of them *are* fairly obvious, but the others are clearly designed to Deceive, Inveigle, and Obfuscate).

I wish that it didn't take me about two and a half hours to add (maybe) three paragraphs, including an ending that's more of a stopping point, to a Kiss that otherwise came easily.

I wish for vol. 13 of Furuba *and* vol. 2 of NANA to turn up tomorrow. (Dear Buddha, please bring me a pony and a plastic rocket . . . ).

Barring illness (the girl called tonight, and pointed out that what Chris has is probably the rather misery-inducing bug that she and all of our friends' kids have had recently) or sudden changes in the weather forecast (sunny, high of 12 C/ 54 F), tomorrow will be a day of funky socks. And live music.

Just possibly, this post is in the wrong journal. Hmmm . . . Ok, so I'll close by pointing out that the abovementioned Kiss is only about a page long and probably includes as many disjointed sets of parentheses as this post does. But in that case I call it "playing with stylistic choices". ^_^ Maybe it'll come out tomorrow. Maybe not. Instead of dithering, I'll go to bed and try not to catch whatever-it-is that kept the poor husband home (and watching four eps. of Veronica Mars with me) today.
