links and Hellsing

First: this is painfully funny. (The most bizarre "English" I've ever seen. Already linked out of hysteriachan, so some of you may have seen it before.)

Second: This post on lj_biz is *not* so funny. I haven't quite figured out what I think yet, but I plan to comment. LJ is considering adding advertising, albeit in a selective way, and they're looking for ( Read more... )

I'm actually one of the few people on earth who liked the TV anime. Despite the fact that it had virtually nothing to do with the manga and had serious problems.

Well, that's partly because I have issues with some of the later manga developments. *looks around nervously for the real Hellsing fans to show up and argue with her* So I write fic in the TV anime timeline anyway.

I saw part of the raw of the first episode of the OVA, and I thought it was OK. (I don't know any Japanese, but I knew what was happening, so I could follow it.) But humor/SD stuff always works better in manga than in anime for me (even in humor anime!) so I'm not particularly dying to see the rest at this point either.

I like Seras's TV anime look better *looks around nervously for those fans again* but I actually liked seeing a lot of her in the OVA because I love her so much.

Walter looked good though. I was happy with how he looked. (I have this thing for Walter. You probably know. :P)

I probably ought to download the fansub and form a more coherent opinion.

I really do want to rewatch the tv series now. ^^

SD stuff almost never works for me, even in comedies (in anime, I mean--I agree that it works better in manga). And I totally wasn't expecting it in Hellsing . . .

I had noticed the Walter fixation, yes. ^^ He's kickass.
