Hot weather will be the death of me. I do everything I can to avoid it, keeping lights turned off, windows closed during the day, open at night, fans on all the time. Roan is right along with me, he likes to stay cool and adores fans, but Maya Ray is a different story. She loves being outside no matter what, always wanting to go swimming or to a ( Read more... )

Gah, I can't believe you added me. Because you're lovely. And I'm glad you're going to talk about your kids because I bring up my daughter in almost every entry and I don't think enough people do.

[Welcome! I don't know about any significant storylines, since I'm a few months new myself, but I will say welcome and thanks for adding Graham. :)]

How could I resist adding a talented guitarist like you? You were lovely in Blur but I'm afraid I'm not familiar with what you've been up to the past few years. I've noticed some people are easily annoyed by the 'children talk' in journals, but what can I say, it's always on my mind.

[thanks! Well, I don't think there's really any out there, but I wanted to make sure. You're quite welcome, my pleasure]

I'm always happy to hear about children, especially from such a proud and loving parent. Remind me again how old they are? It's been too long since I talked to my daughter, I'm going to go call her right now. Thanks for the impetus, my dear.

[none that I know of; I don't think the previous was very active. So Samuel L if you're ever on AIM]

I'm glad they hit a soft spot for you. Maya Ray just turned six and Roan is two and a half. You should call her, I think that would please her immensely. You're welcome, anything I can do.

[Yeah, I don't know if there's much to tell. Thanks!]

Well I hope you don't mind my constant entries about violent behavior and alcohol. We all have our things. I miss you.

I wouldn't expect anything less from you. I miss you too. Where are you right now at this very moment?

Before I trip my way out of New York to wrap up filming in South Africa, how about some time with the kids and their mother? I was thinking we could have an afternoon at the zoo, if you're game.

[[Well, to say there are significant storylines would be an understatement. Uma and Ethan have joint custody of the children, splitting time in six month periods when one or the other isn't working. They are finally on friendly terms, no hope for reconciliation, and I really don't want to rehash the less than pleasant moments with the last incarnation under the previous journal. Please, feel free to e-mail me.]]

I'm always game to watch the lifestyles of monkeys and elephants with you and the kids. Name the time and we'll make it.

[Thanks for letting me know, I was going to ask you what the decided schedule with the kids was. I like the friendly terms idea and have no intention of bring back bad memories and go crazy on you. ;-)]

A childhood spent watching TV and movies has been known to work out pretty well for some people. It's probably not for everyone, though.

Those kids are fuckin' beautiful, I know that.

You must know how I adore you so, but I'm steering the kids away from being film fanatic directors this time around.

You'd better believe they are. Thank you.
