(no subject)
So yesterday was opening day.
I've been waiting for us to open for a month and a half now.. and was soo excited to finally be making money again.. and finally have stuff to do.. and being able to wait on tables again..
But yesterday morning was.. insane. First off.. the morning started with our servers being ridiculously late. Apparently their bus never showed up.. so they didn't get there until about 10:55 (and we open at 11). No one knew how to do anything besides me John and Matt. And even John and Matt didn't really know much (computer-wise I mean). So the entire morning (which wasn't really even that busy).. I was constantly bombarded with the entire staff asking me questions and wanting me to do their checks with them and tell them how to do everything.
Yea it was fun.
Not.
Anyway... Wednesdays are supposed to be my day off.. but since it was opening day I told John I'd work all day. At 3 Faith came in for the night shift.. and after I was done doing a bunch of shit around 5:30.. John said I had options.. Since I'd been working so hard and so much recently.. and since they had more than enough staff on for the nite.. I could go home if I wanted. So without skipping a beat I told him I would love that.. so I finished my shit and went home. lol. And slept. =) And finally had time to read more of my book! =)=) It was nice. lol.
Also at the last nite of training on tuesday.. John gave a little speech about how much I've been helping him recently and how I'm like his "right-hand man".. and that people shouldn't get pissed if they see him favoring me and giving me more tables then everyone else cuz he wants me to make a shit load of money. Cuz I "took a huge hit in the past 5 weeks". Which is true.. but its nice that he notices that stuff and looks out for his staff.
Anyways.. I'm at work now.. got here early so I had time to kill.. but now I'm gonna go upstairs and start makin sure shit gets done.
