writing to you from the 330!
hey all...wow it's been a while. well, my vacation is officially over...got back to cayman on monday and started school on tuesday. our classes so far haven't been too bad though this semester is gonna be one tough cookie. we have pharmacology, pathology II, genetics and patient-doctor 4 (which is actually credited so it's harder). they've been giving us little homework assignments in all our classes...ughh, so annoying, feels like we're back in high school. but whatever...it's not hard homework, it's just busy work...bleh. we also have a quiz every friday for patient-doctor...now that is annoying. we basically spent yesterday after school doing homework for pharmacology and then studying for the quiz that we have today...when do we get to really study?! who knows! anyway, that's pretty much all that we've been doing. we've been running back and forth all this week...first week is always a mission and a half. we've been trying to find leslie's friend...the one that was supposed to come here, we found his name on the anatomy lab roster but he hasn't been to school yet, so either he backed out or he hasn't been able to catch a flight over here. my friend from UM is here and i've seen her a couple of times and we have a new friend, jorge, which we met on tuesday...he's cuban too so that's good. the cubans are taking over!! haha.
yesterday our air conditioner broke down and it was sooooo hot in our room. we finally decided to call the front desk and let them know because it was not getting any cooler...it was stuck at 82 degrees and it was just unbearable in there....i felt like i couldn't breathe. so the maintenance guy came up to see what the problem was...apparently our AC was overworking and it froze...lol...so they have to change the whole unit now. but it wasn't too bad since we're at a hotel, they just moved us to another room (right next door to ours) for the night and until they fix the air which hopefully is today. this walking back and forth to get stuff is not fun...lol...but it's doable...i don't care really. besides that though, this room since it's not being used is retarded...all the drains are closed...so to brush my teeth i have to brush them and then throw the water into the toilet...lol...i swear i feel like i live in the 50's. it's freaking cold in here...but whatever...it'll only be for a couple more hours i think...:)
well i better go get dressed now cause we have a meeting to go to at 11:30...pointless but we have to go! grrr...i'll update soon enough, i think? byeee
