So I'm trying out twitter. My screen name is anthyrose if you want to follow me. Not really sure how useful/cool it will be for me, but thought I'd give it a shot.
Let's see, what else is going on for me?
Today was my first physiology class I TA'd. Pretty easy so far. Consisted of having my name and email on the first slide of Danielle's presentation and saying "Hello" to about 80 undergrads. Not nearly as intimidated now that I'm actually in it - apparently I actually DO know more than they do, to judge by the frantic note-taking for the introductory lecture. About 80% of the class are biology pre-meds though, so I'm bracing for hyperintensity, especially right around tests.
Started a new project that I'm hoping to present some data from in my student talk the 3rd week of September, except that so far I've only done one experiment and got nothing. NO data at all! I was really hoping that everything would work wonderfully on the first try at PCR (which was today) and I could give Marting the data and take off to the bahamas for the long weekend with Brian, but now it looks like I'll be working instead. boo.
First UM football game tonight, should be a blow out and a good start to the season.
