I can't believe I've completely forgotten to talk about the weekend in L.A.! Blake and I stayed at Bety's house, with her and a roomate named Jackie. The two of them were the best hostesses I've ever encountered. They gave us warm blankets, and both are chefs so they cooked us the best breakfasts and dinners. The greatest part was our trip to Long Beach for All Tommorow's Parties. The Queen Mary was amazing, and creepy. We had the most fun on the Saturday night we were there; we drank, and acted obnoxious at times. We pissed off everyone around us because we were being smartasses, and making them incredibly uncomfortable. I loved it! We had the most excellent time, and the bands I saw were all amazing.
Now, this week should be interesting. I'm taking the train to my brother's house. Mind you, my brother is 33 years old, so he bought us tickets to see the Scorpions and Tesla, and we're going with two guys who have their own show on the Discovery Channel. That means we will be getting quite innebriated. I don't think I could handle the situation if I weren't completely intoxicated. My heart might explode from all the excitment of being surrounded by a plethora of people dying to be heckled.
I've been doing the greatest job of keeping my head up high, and staying positive. It's resulted in the end cap to 2004 acting as a sonogram, showing just an inkling of the amazing things ready to birth in the new year. The 2005 baby shall be a monsterous being of unpredictability through personal achievement, and this is such a good feeling. I can't wait to start anew.
If we don't meet again soon, have a superlative Thanksgiving feast, my friends.
