Can't Fight The Moonlight

I was looking through Jimmy Liao’s (illustrated picture book) ‘The Moon Has Forgotten’, when I suddenly saw a familiar figure in a busy street scene. It was definitely her! And if she was there, sure enough, I scanned amongst the crowds, to see him there as well!

Ah, what a lovely little appearance of the two protagonists from his earlier published ‘Turn Left Turn Right’ story. I recognized her faithful bag and hat, while he carried his violin set. Although they are only background faces for this scene, and not related to the ‘The Moon..’s storyline at all, but seeing their inclusion gives me a story-within-story feeling. Parallel lives will one day meet. I wonder if other readers notice that too.

A scene in 'Turn Left Turn Right'
Wow, yesterday’s moon was indeed big and round and bright! Well, it was also Mid Autumn Festival, so the timing was set.

I don’t particularly fancy mooncakes, even though I seem to eat one or at least half of it, just because it’s in the house during this time each year. For the traditional ones, my choice would be the white lotus seed paste (double yokes of course). But still, the thought often sounds tasty, but I feel so full after eating a bit. But yah, for mochi (snowskin) mooncakes. This is a new type sold locally, and these mooncakes are love. (I’m sure I had snowskin mooncakes before, but they were not impressionable…?) Mini sizes with variety of flavours. They are so yummy! I wonder if there are jelly mooncake sold around here - they look nice and should be nice too. Or mochi icecream mooncakes would be even better! Ice cream….yum.

It has recently come to my attention that
STRESSED=DESSERTS -- > stressed spelt backwards is desserts.
Tee hee. How coincidental is that? You unravel stress, and you find sweets. Or you have desserts when you’re stressed. Anyway you look at it, there is a unlikely but likely connection. Haha...I have such a sweet tooth, so this palindrome is most amusing to me. Though, I find LIVE=EVIL is cool too, but is nothing personal about me. The main reason is because LIVE=EVIL=MAOU … and I love 'Maou'! *cues to Arashi's Truth*

October has snucked up upon us again. It is also 'birthday month' in my fandom world, as every second idol I like just happens to be born in the tenth month. I've pretty much finished up on the little decorations for the forums (those which I contribute creatively to). Most of the pieces I made are meant to be cute and fun - so I hope it will be nice visual treat for the fans when they finally see it. Next is some work on a translation and maybe maybe a Snoopy art. I just wished I had a little more spare time to work on my vid. Haven't even touched it for ages.
