Hair ...Schmair ...I'm Surprised To Be Pleasantly Surprised
The hair! The hair! ...yeap, still hung up on hair...haha....
The comm had new pics with the first look at Toma's hairdo in Majo Saiban!
My first reaction was : He is blonde! Then, after scrolling through the rest of the pics, my second reaction...I ...errr, am actually pleasantly surprised, that I am thinking that it is not that bad.
The few shots of Toma in filming mode; the hair and the outfits sorta turns him into a 'someone else'. It's not the usual Toma, but in a way, it's a transformation of a character for the new show. Already, I can conjure up a personality, a lifestyle, a new world/drama where this 'Toma' will exist. Hopefully there is some spunky character traits too.
Again, I'm focusing on the filming shots; the hair is actually not so 'volum-atic' (..that is so not a real word), and the blonde highlights is shocked through it but in a controlled tousled, yet hair saloned way. It's indeed a shock of a hair, but I didn't mind it. Maybe, controlled styled is the word, as some of the other pics that didn't look like in the actual filming, the hair is really strong fluffy volume fuzz (a bit messy). And, actually the darker colour makes it looks worse - I actually like the blonder colour with this hair *I can't believe I said that*. Not a fan of curly perms, so less fluff, less curls is better, so *pat pat* pat down the hair.
So...now depends how it looks in motion, will the hair bounce into curls, or stay calm. Live TV will tell us the answers. A few promos and SCP will prelude the drama. Waits in anticipation. *Eekk...!! Suddenly remembers that I may not like the hair when he is NOT in character....ahhh.....oohh* Oh well, it won't kill me for the few months while he films. Then, he can go back to the dark, not permed hair. *prays*
Almost forgot (only hair on my mind today), there are pics with his on-screen girlfriend. I'm glad there comes a Toma character who will be in loved and be loved. Yah, for some scriptwriter.
* And, going off on a left tangent ...: Ah ...I was reading a Toma scanlation ... and there was a tiny addition part at the bottom ..my eyes followed the words... Toma said: 'I went to watch 'Red Cliff' , (!) and I nearly fell of my chair...well...no, I didn't really, but heee, it was just about Toma watching Red Cliff the movie, and mentioning that he liked the brotherhood type of stories like The 3 Kingdoms. Hee hee...okay, it's nothing special much...but I like linkages between my fave idols. Toma watching Takeshi-san on screen. Well, that is something I can get in a six degree of separation by...*smacks forehead*
