The bad: On Friday I had to go to a funeral. The guy who died was an awesome man (is the grandpa of my godson) but he was 84 and cancer was really giving him a hard time so I'm glad he...went. He had come full circle and I'm glad he won't suffer anymore. There was no mourning per se on my part, more of a...tribute. What did shock me was, that as I was in the cemetary, I noticed a grave...and I discovered that one of my highschool teachers (who wasn't even 58) died. On the 31 May. This year. I didn't even know it. I didn't even fucking know it. I really appreciated her, I'd always run into her in town and she really did care about me. So. It was kind of... :(
The good: I love my brother. To Deanesque levels of love. Saturday I took him out for shopping (which.he.freaking.hates.) but I chose the most awesome cargo pants and T-shirts for him, plus a suit. He's so freaking gorgeous you wouldn't believe it! Also? Yesterday he drove me to granny (I'm too bored to drive, ok?) and we stayed over. My granny is love. My cousins are love. My wee nephews? Are LOVE. They are so freaking cute and huggy and cuddly and...*squee*. And today we went (bro, his friends, me) to the seaside. Water was lucid and gorgeous and cool. Sunbathing was soothing. God, I love Greek summers. And now we are back. It was a fun filled weekend.
(Also?
brin_bailey, sweetheart, that one is for you: cajun honey mustard baked chicken with thyme.)
The masochistic: I still have salt on me (woo hoo, no demon can possess me now! Muhaha!) but uhm. No bath. Cuz my brother and I, we go jogging together. And after swimming and sunbathing and playing with my oh so cute nephews, he's declared that I won't bail out, cuz dude. JOGGING. I got the freaking tracks three steps from my house so to speak. And at this hour (around ten o'clock in the evening) the sky is all orange red glow, and the lake is peaceful, plus did I mention I'm the only girl running there? All others are guys. Which, dude. Awesome. I'm like a rare species there. So. I'm killing time till we leave. And THEN I can have a bath.
The random/awesome:
e313 just called me up to ask me when I'd go to her seaside house. I'm pmsing this week, but I'm hoping next weekend. Sea house, and then roadtrip. Yes. Roadtrip. YES.
I'm way behind on my flist and comments. But, you guys. It's summer. (and catching up is something I do so well! :) ) So. Expect really belated comments on my part. You have been warned.
