Altoona: a post-Charisma SVU ficlet

It's not long and it's really not perfect. Just a quick little something to make Elliot (and myself) feel better.

You don't really know me, but I just wanted to tell you this was perfect and made my little 'ship-loving heart skip a beat. Aside from the happy angsty beautiful Alex/Elliot vibes, I love your take on Elliot and how he dealt with the situation. I rather enjoyed the episode except when they sent Elliot home, so this made me enjoy it just a little bit more.

that in trying to keep his work life and home life totally separate, the only thing he'd managed to do was separate himself from both.

Brilliant line. That is all.

Hey - I know you, a little. You come out and play at TWoP sometimes, don't you? And I must have seen you around LJ, because I do know that icon - it cracks me up every time I see it.

Those are the best kind of vibes! Well, along with lust-filled. But those are a given.

I rather hated the episode, but at least we agree on the sending-home part :)

It's so annoying not to know what is going on. I know there have been hints - a lot at your site - but since we don't know exactly what it is, I couldn't get too specific here. I'm glad this spin on things worked for you.

Thanks for the nice words, and for finding me!

I haven't played at TWoP in a very long time, mostly cause you guys don't like me. [shrug] Eh, what'm I gonna do? But thanks for the icon-love :)

I think the fic will fit with what's going to happen, or at least what we've heard will happen. Too bad the show's spiraling down the tubes as they do it. Is it too much to ask for some decent character development? Or for fans that don't squeal "Emmy!!" every time someone overacts? Er, ignore that last bit...

[small voice] Do you mind if I friend you? [/small voice]

Aww, that's not true, I'm sure. We don't hate anyone. Except the current SVU writers. And the costume and lighting department. And Dick Wolf. And Neal "sliding into Benson dependence" Baer.

Okay, we do hate a lot of people. But not you.

TWoP is a tough place. When I found it, I almost left because there wasn't a lot of Stabler love. But I stuck around, and probably drove off some folks who don't like him. Which is a shame, because, honestly, the more, the snarkier.

That's one of the reasons I love TWoP. There isn't a lot of gratuitous "That was the ( ... )
